This violin retails for $499.99 and is a professional level instrument and has the look and sound to meet your live and studio needs. This violin has been set up professionally and is a breeze to play. We took the time to perfectly adjust this violin (violin ships with bridge down for safety of instrument). This violin comes with a deluxe suspension case, bow, rosin, 10 ft. instrument cable, headphones, and a 9 volt battery. The body is made with a fine spruce top, maple back and sides, and the craftsmanship overall is excellent. The input jack works with any 1/4" cable, the controls are volume and tone, and the violin also has a professional level pickup including a built in pre-amp. I play this same model violin through a mesa boogie amp and it sounds incredible. The violin puts out a clean sound. This is a silent violin when not run through an amplifier but has very small amount of acoustic sound which gives the instrument its tone. An electric violin is dead sounding without a little bit of acoustic sound. Just in case you don't know this the strings from high to low are E, A, D, and G. This violin is a superb value for the price!
